In short: The Human Body: An Owner's Manual collects no personal data. No accounts, no servers, no ads, no analytics or tracking, and no third-party SDKs.
Data on your device
Your reading progress, bookmarks, highlights, notes, quiz scores, flashcards, lab records and reading settings are stored only on your device. Deleting the app, or using Settings → 数据 (Data) → 清空学习记录 (Clear Study Records), removes them.
If your device is signed in to iCloud, the app uses Apple's iCloud key-value storage to sync these study records between your own devices. The data lives in your iCloud account, is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy, and cannot be accessed by us. You can turn off iCloud for this app in system Settings.
购买 Purchases
The Full Book is purchased through the Apple App Store and payment is handled by Apple. We never receive your name, email, Apple ID or payment details; the app only asks Apple whether the purchase exists in order to unlock content.
Read-aloud, search and backups
- Read-aloud uses your device's built-in system voices; speech is synthesized on the device and no text is sent to us.
- Search runs on the device; the Spotlight index of chapters, diseases and terms stays on your device.
- Backup files are created only when you choose Export Backup, and saved where you choose.
网络 Network
All content is bundled in the app; reading works offline. Only App Store purchases/restores and iCloud sync use the network, through Apple's system services.
Children
The app collects no personal information from anyone, including children.
